Chiropractors provide care for patients of all ages, who present with a range of conditions.
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these problems on the function of the nervous system and general health. Chiropractic is the third largest primary healthcare profession, behind medicine and dentistry, and is the fastest growing independent health care profession in the UK.
What does Chiropractic treatment involve?
Chiropractic treatment involves safe, gentle and specific manipulation and mobilisation to ease joints in the spine and other parts of the body that are not moving properly or require extra mobility.
As well as manipulation and mobilisation, chiropractors are fully trained to use methods including sports massage, exercise therapy, nutritional advice, kinesiotaping and more to get to the root cause of your problem and prevent it from returning.
